Anheuser-Busch offers soldiers free admission to SeaWorld through 2007 - Phoenix Business Journal
Anheuser-Busch executives have decided to extend its free admission program to U.S. theme parks to American soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan through 2007, the company said Wednesday. St. Louis-based Anheuser-Busch (NYSE: BUD) first created its "Here's to the Heroes" program in February 2005. Through it, the company's Busch Entertainment Corp. subsidiary offers a single day's free admission to any one of SeaWorld or Busch Gardens park, Sesame Place, Adventure Island or Water Country USA theme park.

Whale injures trainer during Sea World show
Some days, killer whales just wake up on the wrong side of the pool. A 2 1/2-ton orca that dragged a trainer underwater during a show at SeaWorld may have been put out by a spat with another whale, grumpy because of the weather or just irritable from a stomach ache, according to marine mammal experts. "Some mornings they just wake up not as willing to do the show as others," said Ken Balcomb, director of the Center for Whale Research in Friday Harbor, Wash. "If the trainer doesn't recognize it's not a good day, this will happen."

SeaWorld suspends fireworks show
SeaWorld has suspended indefinitely its nightly fireworks show over Mission Bay and will apply for a potentially precedent-setting permit that would regulate pyrotechnics as a water pollutant. SeaWorld has stopped the shows since Sunday to avoid a lawsuit from San Diego Coastkeeper, an environmental group that contends the chemical and paper residue falling into Mission Bay from spent fireworks constitutes a discharge of pollutants under the federal Clean Water Act.
