Performer dies after fall at Elitch Gardens
A performer in the Amazing Acrobats of China show at Six Flags Elitch Gardens was seriously injured and later died after falling during a show Friday night. The performer fell during a stunt at around 7 p.m. Friday, according to a Six Flags representative Brooke Brasher.

If Six Flags Inc. gets its wish, Denver's Elitch Gardens will not only go to the highest bidder but also remain an amusement park. "Our strong preference is to sell the park as a park," said Mark Quenzel, executive vice president for strategy and management. Six Flags has given the ax to Scooby- Doo. Kellen Owens, who had roamed Elitch Gardens as the lovable dog since June, said he was laid off this week, along with friends who worked as Tweety, Bugs Bunny, Petunia the Piglet, Wile E. Coyote and others.

Elitch's ticket: $170 million
The owner of Denver's Six Flags Elitch Gardens amusement park is seeking $170 million for the 75-acre site, according to a real estate developer who has seen the offering. Six Flags Inc., which operates 30 parks in North America, is saddled with more than $2 billion in debt and is considering selling Elitch Gardens and five other parks. It plans to send out marketing materials on the properties to interested buyers this week.

Six Flags Elitch Gardens opens for an exciting season of revamped family fun and new entertainment as Six Flags celebrates its 45th anniversary. Justice League, featuring the DC Comics Super Heroes Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and The Flash will arrive in the Mile High City in grand fashion. Arriving through air, these super heroes will watch over the grand opening ceremonies and protect Coloradoans from a mundane summer.
