Nearly 7 acres rezoned near amusement park in West OC - Delmarva Daily TimesThe Worcester County Commissioners approved an application to rezone about seven acres of West Ocean City land to allow future commercial development.
The 6.66-acre parcel, which was zoned residential, sits adjacent to Baja Amusements and the White Marlin Mall -- the mall is east of it and Baja Amusements sits on the property's southern border. Hugh Cropper, attorney for developer Elliott Farm Partnership, had argued before the county's planning commission earlier this summer that the residential designation was a mistake, since the commercial facilities abut the property ---- Ocean City Christian School, just north of the Elliott property ---- is in a residential zone, but the level of activity put it in a "quasi-commercial" category.
