April 27, 2006 Universal Orlando has upped the ante in the local battle for theme park employees, increasing the minimum hourly wage to $7.25, just as the summer hiring season begins.
That follows SeaWorld, which increased its minimum wage to $7 an hour in March in preparation for the spring break hiring season. Walt Disney World raised its minimum wage to $6.90 last fall.
