A truck caught fire at Universal's Islands of Adventure this morning but will not affect park operations.

Firefighters saw a column of fire when they arrived at the theme park just before 5 a.m., then spotted a vacuum truck next to a building that was on fire.

The flames were in the engine and cab of the truck, said Orlando Fire Department spokesman Daniel Velez.

Firefighters quickly put out the blaze, keeping the flames from the building that houses Wimpy's Restaurant in the Toon Lagoon area of the park.

"The building was never compromised," Velez said.

No one was injured in the fire.
