The survey is conducted annually by Amusement Today, the popular Arlington, Texas-based publication that covers the international amusement park industry. The magazine presents the winners with its prestigious "Golden Ticket Awards."

Survey results revealed Cedar Fair received recognition in eight categories. In addition to being named "Best Amusement Park" for the tenth straight year, Cedar Point also received awards for the "Best Indoor Waterpark" (No. 3), "Best Outdoor Night Show" (No. 5), and the "Best Halloween Event" (No. 5). The Halloween Haunt at Knott's Berry Farm also received top honors, while Renegade, a new wooden roller coaster, at Valleyfair, Shakopee, MN received recognition for "The Best New Ride - 2007" (No. 4).

According to the survey results, Cedar Fair parks boast seven of the top 25 steel roller coasters in the world, led by Cedar Point's 310-foot-tall signature coaster, Millennium Force, which was rated No. 2. Ranked as the No. 3 steel coaster was the 205-foot-tall Magnum XL-200, which has been one of the most popular roller coasters in the world since its debut at Cedar Point in 1989. Also placing in the top 25 were three additional Cedar Point coasters, the 420-foot-tall, 120-mph Top Thrill Dragster at an impressive No. 9, Maverick, the new "terra" coaster, debuted at No. 13 and Raptor at No. 19. Meanwhile, Steel Force at Dorney Park, Allentown, PA., was ranked No. 20 and Knott's Berry Farm's Xcelerator ranked No. 24.
