Kennywood Park is getting major props and has been ranked as one of the best amusement parks in the world in Amusement Today. Rides like the Thunderbolt, Phantom's Revenge and Noah's Ark helped boost the park's ranking, which was stacked up against some heavy competition.

Amusement Today surveys what it calls theme park connoisseurs, who spend their days visiting parks across the world.

The "Golden Ticket" awards are presented every year and for Best Amusement Park of 2007, Kennywood came in at No. 7, above Disneyworld.

Neighboring Cedar Point topped the list at No. 1.

But in the category for Best Halloween Event, Kennywood was the No. 3 spooky destination for theme park fans.
