The VisionLand amusement park is getting a new name to go along with millions of dollars in improvements. Southland Entertainment Group said Monday the park, located west of Birmingham, would now be called "Alabama Adventure." The California-based company purchased the park three years ago, and president Kent Lemasters said a name change was planned all along. But Southland said the company wanted to make sure it "changed the park" before altering the name.
