JAMES CITY - Busch Gardens plans to switch to its fall hours next week.

After staying open daily all summer, the amusement park will change to a weekends-only schedule starting Sept. 7 through Oct. 28.

The park will open its doors at 10 a.m. during that period on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Busch Gardens will close for the day at 6 p.m. on Sept. 7 and at 7 p.m. on Sept. 8-9.

For Sept. 14 through Oct. 28, the park will close at 10 p.m. on Fridays and Sundays and at 11 p.m. on Saturdays. Busch Gardens will present its annual "Howl-O-Scream" event from Sept. 14 until it closes for the season on Oct. 28.
