SeaWorld Orlando's Discovery Cove has announced its autumn Florida resident discounts, offering as much as $80 off visits to the immersive, tropical-marine-themed resort for reservations with dates starting Sept. 5.

Florida residents can book an all-inclusive day that includes swimming with Atlantic bottlenose dolphins for $199 -- compared with the seasonal regular price of $279. The Florida resident rate is good for Sept. 5 to Oct. 2 and Nov. 12 to Dec. 20.

The Florida resident discount offers a $99 rate for a Discovery Cove package that does not include a dolphin swim. That rate is available only if someone else in the party reserves a dolphin-swim package.

Discovery Cove, operated by and across the street from SeaWorld Orlando, is a reservations-only, limited-attendance experience set in and around a chain of saltwater pools. The habitat features 36 dolphins, other marine life, an artificial coral reef, a tropical-bird aviary, a shark habitat, a beach, lush tropical foliage, gift shops, supply cabanas, restaurants and bars.

Admission also covers a continental breakfast, lunch, snacks, beverages and the use of snorkeling and beach gear.

Regular prices for both the dolphin-swim package and the limited package go down $20 starting Nov. 12, though the Florida discount prices will remain at $199 and $99.
