When college student Tripp Carter started an online petition to keep The Myrtle Beach Pavilion Amusement Park open, he thought he would get a few names on the list. After a week, the site has collected more than 4,200 names — some from as far away as England — and prompted a paper petition drive that is hitting Front Street in Georgetown, powered by another 20-something, Dexter Blakely Jr. Yet another petition is circulating in Conway.
