NEW YORK, July 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Mall of America(R) and Nickelodeon are excited to announce Nickelodeon Universe as the new name for the nation's largest indoor family theme park. Nickelodeon has also been working closely with Mall of America to create the new logo, which incorporates several of the most popular Nick characters.

Earlier this year Mall of America and Nickelodeon announced a partnership to combine the country's largest shopping and entertainment destination with the number-one entertainment brand for kids. The redesigned 7 acre theme park is scheduled for completion in March, 2008. During the transitional period the theme park's current attractions and rides will remain open. Fresh designs, healthy eating options and exciting new rides and attractions, inspired by Nickelodeon's popular shows and characters, are just a few of the anticipated changes for the park.

In an effort to put kids first during the transformation process, Mall of America and Nickelodeon established the first ever MOA/Nickelodeon Kids' Panel, consisting of 32 kids between ages 8 and 12. This group of "experts" will meet monthly for interactive sessions to help with the design and creative process. The panel is intended to bring curiosity, wild imaginations and humor to Nickelodeon Universe.
