"Merchants in Venice" Seafood Festival and "Night in Venice" at Gillian's Wonderland Pier in Ocean City, NJ, July 27-28

The historic PTC #75 carousel at Gillian's Wonderland Pier will see a bit of Italy as the amusement park hosts its Merchants in Venice Seafood Festival on July 27. The festival will feature a feast of some of the best seafood in the area as well as special entertainment, rides for the kids and crafters. The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the boardwalk.

On Saturday night, July 28, there will be another Night in Venice -- this is the city’s annual boat parade which boasts that it is one of the largest in the world. The parade starts at 6:30 p.m. and runs from the Longport Bridge to Tennessee Ave. along the bay.

On Aug. 1, join in the fun for the annual sand sculpting contest, hermit crab races, and the Miss Crustacean Hermit Crab Beauty Pageant. And from Aug. 3-5, stroll through the 45th Annual Boardwalk Art Show before or after your historic carousel ride.
