A Raleigh, N.C., man was beaten and robbed last night by a man who initially threatened to shoot the victim.

The 43-year-old victim was walking on a beach access near Family Kingdom Amusement Park about 10 p.m. when the suspect approached the victim, according to a police incident report.

The suspect threatened to shoot the victim with his gun, and the victim's friend could see the outline of a gun in his pants, the report states.

Although the friend was able to convince the suspect not to shoot the victim, the suspect knocked the victim to the ground and hit him several times in the head. The suspect took $25 from the victim and fled toward the beach, the report states.

No arrests were made.
