Asbury Park Press Original Article »May 18, 2007 NEWTON — A teenager admitted Thursday that he mistakenly used live ammunition when he shot a fellow theme park actor last year during a mock gunfight, leaving the victim partially paralyzed and with a bullet in his skull. The 18-year-old actor, one of three people charged in the July 7 shooting at the Wild West City theme park in Sussex County, pleaded guilty in Family Court to a disorderly persons charge of negligently causing bodily injury with a deadly weapon.
He was sentenced to a deferred disposition, meaning the charge will be dismissed if he follows the court's rules for six months. |
