March 29, 2007 Owners of the Magic Springs and Crystal Falls amusement park/water park complex say they've agreed to sell the tourist attraction to an Orlando, Florida, company. The agreement calls for the park to be leased back to the former owners, who will continue to manage it.
Magic Springs Development Company says the result of the sale to C-N-L Income Properties will be an initial investment of ten million dollars in upgrading the facilities, including new rides. The developers will sign a 20-year lease, and no changes in management or staffing are expected. Magic Springs president Dan Aylward says the restructuring will provide a greater infusion of cash for capital development of the park. Terms of the sale were not disclosed. |
