You'll have to shell out a few bucks to get into New York's historic Playland amusement park this summer.

The Westchester County Board of Legislators has failed to override County Executive Rob Astorino's veto of fee changes.

Admission will be $5 for Westchester County residents, and $10 for non-residents.

Some local lawmakers are still trying to find a way to make it a little lower.

You can dodge the entrance fee if you buy unlimited-ride tickets. They're $25 for residents and $30 for non-residents.

The 83-year-old park on Long Island Sound is a National Historic Landmark.

The county is reviewing proposals to "reinvent" Playland.

Attendance has dropped by more than half since 2005. Subsidies from taxpayers are getting larger.
