Darien Lake Theme Park Resort is now managed by the same company that runs singer Dolly Parton's Dollywood.

   Herschend Family Entertainment has begun overseeing all day-to-day activities and now supervises the park's 3,500 full-time and seasonal employees. The company is based in Norcross, Ga.

   The company that owns Darien Lake, CNL Lifestyle Properties Inc., praised HFE in a statement.

 "HFE was a natural choice," Senior Vice President Curt Caffey said, "due to the company's solid history of operating first-class, successful theme parks with a reputation for top service and guest experience standards."
