Cypress Gardens Adventure Park may have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, but locals haven't lost confidence in the reborn park or its savior. The park filed for Chapter 11 protection from creditors in Georgia federal court, listing more than $50 million in debts, forced mainly from unpaid insurance claims from the trio of hurricanes that passed through in 2004, park officials said. "This is not a surprise," said Winter Haven Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Bob Gernert. "We knew it [the insurance claim] was causing serious concern."
