State officials said it's doubtful any more riders will take a spin on the Son of Beast this year. The roller coaster at Paramount's Kings Island has been shut down since July 9, when an accident sent 27 people to the hospital. A spokeswoman for the Ohio Department of Agriculture said she doesn't expect the ride to go again this season. She indicated the investigation isn't close to being wrapped up. After Wednesday, Kings Island will be open just two more weekends and will then close until its October Fear Fest.
