June 15, 2006 No mechanical problems were found with a Dixie Landin’ amusement park ride that a boy fell from Friday, a representative with Office of the State Fire Marshal said Wednesday.
Emergency brakes, seat belts, lap belts and the ride’s speed have been checked and do not have any problems, said Bill Owens, manager of mechanical safety for the Fire Marshal’s Office, which is responsible for inspecting amusement park rides statewide.
