Site plans for the Thomas Town kiddie land at Six Flags Magic Mountain show a corkscrew-path train track, children’s roller coaster and water play area.

Train riders queue through Knapford Station and take a journey aboard the anthropomorphic Thomas the Tank Engine and passenger cars Annie and Clarabelle. The train circles Tidmouth Shed, which houses several of Thomas’ engine friends. Riders exit via a retail store featuring souvenirs from the British children’s television series.

The Valencia, California, amusement park will re-theme the Goliath Jr. mini-roller coaster as Percy the Small Engine to better fit into the new land, scheduled to open summer 2008. A Cranky the Crane water play area will feature a pop-jet fountain and an overhead sprinkler. Officials unveiled the Thomas Town plans during a recent Theme Park Review tour of the park.

Magic Mountain put on hold previously announced plans for Harold the Helicopter and Bertie the Bus rides in Thomas Town, in part because the park’s existing Bugs Bunny World kiddie land already has a Yosemite Sam’s Flight School plane ride and a Daffy’s Adventure Tours bus ride. The locations of the shelved rides will be reserved for future Thomas Town expansion.
