Amusement park operator Six Flags Inc. said Thursday its total revenue for the year to date is up 5 percent compared with the prior-year period.

The company attributed the growth to a 3 percent increase in guest spending and increased sponsorship revenue of about $6 million.

Attendance was flat through June 3 at 5.9 million, reflecting approximately 6 percent fewer park operating days.
